Welcome to the Website of Marian College which I hope will provide you with a flavour of the high quality educational experience that we provide.
Marian is a voluntary, non-fee charging, boy’s secondary school located in South Dublin. Founded by the Marist Brothers in 1954, we are committed to inclusive education, underpinned by our school ethos of simplicity, presence, the Marian family spirit, In the Way of Mary and a love of work in all its forms.
Our motto is ‘Optimum Optare’ – the pursuit of excellence. We are passionate in pursuing our goal of nurturing the talents and abilities of every student so that they can make a real difference and positive contribution to Irish and international society and economy. We aim to stimulate, challenge and encourage our students to excel in all of their undertakings.
The College offers a wide-range of academic subjects and an extensive extra-curricular program. Our belief in the holistic development of each student is at the core of our work.

This Saturday sees the good folks over at Marian College in Ballsbridge throw open their doors to prospective students.
The Open Day from 10am to 1pm at the secondary school on Lansdowne Road, will highlight the institution's small class sizes, state of the art gym, high academic standards and affiliation with Trinity College, amongst other things. Marian is a Marist Brothers Catholic secondary school whose motto is "Optimum Optare" – the pursuit of excellence. The school was founded in 1954 and has a student population of 425 boys.
